The course will start by providing a general overview of adaptive designs, explaining the different type of adaptations possible and the benefits of each design. Following this, participants will be given the opportunity to have a go at designing trials in R (using RPACTS), EAST, FACTS, and nQuery. The following topics will be covered: Group sequential designs Inference in adaptive designs Phase II dose selection and arm dropping Enrichment designs Early phase dose escalation design Sample size re-estimation Overview of FACTS (including simulation guided trial design, “consulting” with FACTS, combining FACTS and R) Hands on design using EAST RPACT (including vignettes, shiny app, graphical outputs, and R Markdown) Practical demonstration of designing adaptive studies in nQuery
